Default Are Fabspeeds supposed to sound "farty" at WOT?

I just got a set of Fabspeed Maxflow's installed and they sound great to me at idle and low RPM, however at WOT they really give off a farty "hornlike" sound. Is this by design or is there something wrong with my exhaust? None of the clips on the web sound like that imho. It sounds a lot like a propeller aircraft at WOT to me. 1 to 3khz range.
Am I crazy?

Put a few hundred miles on them and they start to change pitch.

Are you coming from a stock exhaust?

The stock cans make SBD's (silent but deadly).

Not sure what you're hearing, but the opposed motor does have a different exhaust sound.
A 996 with aftermarket exhaust passed me the other day at high rpm and it was flatulantly blissful.

Did you get them new or used? One of my Fabspeeds on my 996 after 3 years cracked at the welds and broke inside. They never sounded "farty", except the short time I had cat-bypass pipes on the car. I sent the mufflers back and had them rebuilt. After the rebuild, they were definitely a lower tone.

I sold my car with the Fabspeeds on it and was behind the new owner a couple of weeks ago while he was driving. I was really surprised at how good the exhaust sounded from being behind him. I even called him to while we were drivng to let him know.

I bought the Fabspeed Maxflows late last fall and the drone/resonance at most any speed and RPM really annoyed me at first. They were ALOT louder than I anticipated. Gave me a headache. Either they somehow "broke in" or I am getting used to it -- but its OK now. I don't think it was worth the $1k+, but my factory cans developed a rattle and the stock replacements were not that much less expensive.
