its easy with the right leverage position, but on your back on the floor... its hard to gain leverage even with a breaker bar

If it was left handed threads, breaker bar equals broken bolt. Gotta be careful boys.

I ran down to Lowe's and picked up a black iron 2" diameter 3' pipe. Slide it over my ratchet and SNAP!!!! it loosens that sucker up with a sound that will make you think the case just split open

yea, a little scary the first time.
changing the oil on the 3.2 the drain plug spec is ~55 ft/lbs - I can assure you I stopped well short of that too - there is no way it needs to be that tight!
