Default 3 point steering wheel

What are people's thoughts about the value of upgrading the standard 4 steering wheel to the 3 point steering wheel (with the Porsche crest in the middle). I feel like my current steering wheel feels too "skinny" (compared to my BMW 540i)

Do it. One of the best 'hands on' improvement that you can do. The stock 4 spoke is too thin, and the 3 spoke is perfect.

Personal preference, I don't mind the 4 spoke, in fact I see so many 3 spoke wheels that my 4 spoke one is appreciated more. I even bought a new 3 spoke, had it a year, didn't install it, and decided to keep what I have. I'm happy!

+1 on the 3 spoke, unless you can get a quality overwrap with good grips @ 3 and 6 o' clock position, which the 3 spokes have.

Fly has a nice one at a very fair price... worth it...? not sure, depends on what other upgrades you have done and what you use the car for and what you want to get out of it...

I had the four and the three. The thickness is about the same, but the three looks better. If you want the BMW thickness I think the GT3 or TURBO upgrade wheels are thicker.

The 993 had the 4-spoke wheel, and the 4-spoke wheel indicates an earlier 996, which are becoming relatively desirable.

For these reasons I stick with the 4-spoke

Default 4 spoke for me

In my 99, it came with a 4 spoke and I put in the GT3 console delete. To me, it evokes the 993 and prior generations steering wheel plus the horizontal feeling of the dash with fairly open leg space between driver and passenger footwell found in those generations as well.
