Default OT - Audi R8 on NG Channel

Anyone watch the currrent episode of Mega Factories on the Audi R8? What an amazing piece of engineering. I'd love to see an episode of this on the Carerra. The Audi is almost entirely hand built, but I wonder how consistent they are. Surely the welders of the space frame make mistakes from time to time? Can you imagine.. "Oops I effed up and ruined this $25,000 aluminum frame. What do I tell the supervisor?". It seem's like a lot of car for 150k, and considering the world economy I predict them being in the 75k range within a few years. An Italian exotic built with this kind of love and attention would be 250k+. If they drop below 75 I would probably buy one for keeps I have never owned an Audi, but have always admired them on the road. The entire range of models look like very solid machines, and the R8 is absolutely beautiful to my eye. Commentary? Comparisons to Porsche engineering? Discuss.

Cool, have to look for that.

There was a show on the Porsche factory and the engine builds, and the amazing robot delivery carts. Don't recall if that was Mega Factories or not....

You can already pick up an R8 for $99K, I think the V8 prices will drop a lot quicker than the V10 prices. It looks like a small car but when you see it in a standard parking spot it's so wide, almost wider par with a Lambo at the back. And that V10, sounds just like a F1 car..... varoooooommmmmm for those straight roads in Texas.

I've been driving quattro's for over 25 years and they are great cars. The R8 is supposed to be superb, but I won't dare drive one for fear of having to acquire said machinery.
