Is there a way to program a spare key to my 996 without having the dealer do it?

autoengineering in MA can program keys and control units etc...

I guess some of you are luckier than I, here in Raleigh/Cary NC...

Anyway, to a poster above, if a key goes unused while another is used to lock/unlock the car, after enough cycles, the unused key will become out of synch with the car, and will no longer work. I want to say 200 actuations is the number, somebody who's more bored than I can shed more light on the topic, but the idea is occasionally use your "spare" key.
