Road trip observations -
Just brought a car back from Florida last week. It was an '04 LeSabre. Nice car, great gas mileage, like 29 MPG, cruising at times in the 90's.
So, about 80% of people who enter the freeway don't speed up until they are a good 100 feet onto the innerstate. So, in essence, they enter at about 50 mph, and slooooowly accerrate to the speed limit. If there is a slower car in front of them, they pull directly into the fast lane. (where I am doing 85....um, I mean the speed for me that is safe and diligent for the equipment and conditions )
Gas is with in 5 cents of each other.
I took my dog along:
Good story. So, I flew into Tampa on Sun Country that runs out of the twin cities. Pretty good airline. I found out that a friend's mother who is 85 has cancer and not a good outlook. Marie, loves Dillon Dawg. He would do "sleepovers" at her condo when we lived down by Daytona. I called Sun Country and asked about their policy on Service Dogs, who, by law, has all the rights of an individual and access to anyplace the handler does. I didn't push it, and they said "yes, service dogs fly in the cabin with the handler." Only downside is that I would have to sit in an "exit" row and no one would be seated next to us
I took Dillon Dawg out to MSP a couple of days before, no problem at the ticket counter and no problems with TSA (although they were the most humorless people I saw that day)
Flying day, we showed up....I wore what I call "old man" sunglasses, big ones. I didn't want anyone to question why the dog was with me (although this is illeagle). Better safe, huh? The check in went swimmingly, TSA piece of cake. The flight attendant took my bag and grabbed me by the elbow and led me to my seat

More...I must have hit the wrong button. Dillon was great, flight went well. He was a little uncomfortable with the departure, and then with the landing gear extension. Not too much, though.
We went to Marie's condo. It has been 2 and half years since he had been there. I watched get out of the car, walk over to the elevator, and when we got to her floor, he turned right and walked to her exact door, sat, and barked! I swear that dog may be smarter than me.
Marie was too happy. (she looked real bad)
Great trip.
Thankyou Sun Country
That's all
