Default Will 9" et 52 wheels fit the front?

anyone run this setup in 18"? or close to it? They are essentially boxster size rear wheels but mounted in the front.

Absolutely and will fit very nicely. You'd be adding another inch over stock but that is negligible. You'd also get the "look" of adding about a 10mm spacer. Very nice in opinion. As long as it clears the brakes you are fine.

Ferd,

Compared to the stock 8" and 50mm offset, they will extend an additional 11mm, which will be OK. However, they will have 15mm less inner clearence. This may be an issue. I am not sure how much extra inner clearence there is with the stock 8" wheel.

Well, if us "common folk" don't keep the statisticians in check, who will?

It'll fit perfectly fine. w/ 52 offset it barely cleared my friend's spring perches w -2.5 camber.

I ran 9" 43 offset -1.8 camber (no spacer), there should be some of my old pic of fitment on RL with 275 tires.

Currently, I run 9" 37 offset with a 15mm spacer on 265 tires with no clearance issues either. It does rub the fender liner a bit on full lock.

Ferdinand, you my friend are a wheel *****. Which ones are you getting? He has some sweet looking wheels for sale. My favorites were the ones for a GT3, with the hardware on the back.

thanks guys.... I need to take a look under my car for those extra inner clearance.

Mark... yeah Im bad. I wanted those GT3 wheels but decided against them.... The 12" et64 rears looked good... but decided against them since you have to do major suspension setup (monoballs, rolled fenders, agressive cambers etc) to make them work.

Ferdinand, you have the best looking 996 ever. I understand the quest for the perfect wheel. Those GT3 wheels were gorgeous and would have looked great on your car...way too much hassle though. A couple months ago, I saw a set of BBS Magnesium wheels for our cars, on one of the Porsche forums...I was almost tempted for a moment.
