Before I hit the link, I said Cross Bronx #1. The road sux, the traffic really sux, and the drivers suck. And the nice scenery is just an added bonus. Other than that, it's not too bad.
Who was the idiot that thinks I-80 in PA is worse?

I-80 in PA is awesome!
I used to live in northeast Pennsylvania and once you get past the Poconos and are heading west, it's almost like an autobahn!
As for the I-79/I-70 interchange, I just went through that last Friday and yes, it sucks!

They are ugly stretches of roads in a lot of places. Even with the stimulus plan the roads are going to get worse before they get better. Missouri voted that re appropriation of highway funds would no longer be allowed. They are still some really nice roads to let the Pcar stretch its legs. Now that would be a cool list to look at.

Belt parkway....I lost one tire there (blowout at 90+) that was fun. Construction now in full swing...removal of 7 bridges and center medians.....with several death corridors with no shoulders and multiple blind spots. Construction is said to last 7yrs. Pot holes along roads after multiple snow storms were measured in feet in length and depth. NYC DOT had one pothole crew working last snow storms for the entire city. Absolute mayhem.
Van Wyck- center lane north bound...just avoid it, it will swallows small trucks

Not to rag on road repairers but who ever develops the patchs and formulates the mix for the roads sure isn't getting it right. We get a rain and instant big pot holes. Watched some portland road repairs and they went after bonding and such of mix then laid steel plates over it till later. I do real fun things before vacationing in deserts for a year at a time. We could probably save a bundle importing german crews to make and fix out roads. Then everyone would probably want to elect the owner to president so I guess it wouldn't be acceptable ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Darn nice roads in Germany. Oahu bought a fancy road repair machine you guys might be able to buy for your roads. Hawaii doesn't use it because of some oil required in the mix isn't available here. I believe its a german machine. Don't ask me why they can't import the oil or I'll tell you because the main money maker of always fixing the same holes would be gone so its jerk the public around with high costs.
