Run into anyone who cannot pronounce "Carrera?"
I was at BJ's this evening picking up a huge bag of dogfood. Walked past the automotive section and noticed a sign showing that they sold Michelin's.
So I stopped by and asked if I could get a quote on some tires for my car. I told him it was a 2002 Porsche 911. The guy went to his computer and punched it in. Came back and said, "I couldn't find a 911 but I did find a SEE-RAH-RAH?"
I asked, "A what?!?"
And he tried again, "a SEE-RAH-RAH...It's spelled C-A-R-R..."
So I stopped him and said, "Oh! You mean Carrera!"
He said, "Yeah, that's it!"
Needless to say they couldn't get the tires but when I got home and told the wife she was cracking up. Those are the perks of living in the South - any "foreign" word becomes difficult to pronounce!

I would have said "Yeah thats it" and let the dumb *** go around telling everyone how he saw a seararha today.....
Just like the guy that came up to me at the gas station and asked what a 9285 was (928S on the rear bumper cover). I told the ******* it meant it was a 1/2 year model. They only made 20 or 30 in 1976 and he was seeing a really Rare car. I also said the 92 meant the min octain the car could run and the 8 was for the 8 cylinder engine. Jackass. I enjoy giving people the power to sound like the freekin idiots they are.

Never had a problem with that one, but I keep finding people who can't pronounce Porsche. The strange way they try to pronounce it makes it sound like something on front or the back of a house.

Believe it or not when I went to the Smokey Mountains this weekend I ran into what most would consider to be the stereotypical back-woods mountain man while at the gas station. He asked me, "Is that your Porsch-ah out there?" He couldn't pronounce any other word correctly but he did manage to get Porsche out there the right way!
