Default Philly area PPI Recommendation?

Hey all-
I'm a new guy--so first post.
I'm interested in a C4S in the Philly area and would appreciate a good recommendation for a PPI.

Also, anybody have any experience buying from Sky Motor Cars in West Chester PA?

Thanks in advance-
Kevin

Dougherty is right there. http://www.doughertyautomotive.com/

The 2004 on their website? Even if it's flawless, take $10k off that price.

+1 for Dougherty in West Chester. They did my PPI.

That's way too much $$$ for the silver vert on their site.

Thanks for the fast answers. I'll look Dougherty up.
Hopefully the Sky folks understand about the price and are willing to negotiate to something more realistic. I agree based on my research of things like Edmunds, KBB, eBay history, it is overpriced.
Have you guys heard what they're like to deal with? In doing a search of Rennlist I saw one year-old post where a guy in Atlanta bought a car from them. But I'd be curious if you locals know anymore.
Thanks
Kevin

i have used Cherry Hill Porsche. ask for Mike Adams, the service manager.

they have treated me very fairly from PPI to service.

I know you might have you heart set on a C4S vert but Porsche of the main line has a C2 03 convertible that is CPO'd for $10K less than the C4S vert you are looking at.

Thanks again for the suggestions.
But after speaking with the dealer, I don't think we're going to get close enuff on price to make a deal, so need for that PPI in Philly. Kinda bummed because it is a very nice car. They were very nice, but very firm on their price.
I'm hoping plan B works out and i have a 996 C4S soon. The weather is getting good here in Chicago. So stay tuned.

$50K for that '04 C4S is way too high. They may get close from someone who knows little about these cars. Rallyjon is absolutely correct - a price closer to $40K is more appropriate. Car looks good but not flawless in pics. Plus, other than Nav, it looks not to be a highly optioned car. Walk away - there are better ones out there for less. Don't I know it!!

I am posting for future reference as I am in the West Chester/ Phoenixville area. These shops will come in handy when I am ready to make offers.

A good friend, VW car salesmen, linked me to sky motor cars before as he sends his clients that are looking for "higher profile" cars to them.

I've also been looking at http://www.holtmotorsports.com/ (also in West Chester area)

Holt typically has some very good cars. Ask for Tim (owner).

Holt's reputation in the air-cooled world is impeccable. They started to branch out with some 996s (mostly turbos at first) presumably as they could find really nice ones at auction for cheap.

One other local source is http://www.carconnectionsusa.com

In spite of the bizarrely generic name, it seems to be a decent operation without the stench of used-car-lot sleaze. They do consignments as well as auction cars. I went there to test drive a 996 turbo and found my C4S. They had about a dozen Porsches there at the time, all stored indoors. One thing that's refreshing is that their stock seems to be mostly asking priced at a reasonable ~5% too high (just enough for polite negotiation), rather than 20%+ too high that you see at some used car dealers, which forces you to lowball them to even get a discussion started.

Holt Motorsports is quite pricey but they do find excellent examples of both air cooled and 996s.
