Are there any directions on how to fit this? I know I should be able to figure this out, but I just am not sure how to fit the horizontal part onto the car. It looks like the rear seat have to be down.

Can anybody help?

Its OK Mike.... I didnt know the answer anyhow

 

clean any built up crud and put some fresh silicone grease on the hinges and on those red release mechanisms..short of breaking it, it takes some getting use to which way it folds/unfolds.

 

Lots of WD-40 and axle grease(black stuff) makes installation much smoother !
