Default 996 weird noise

i have just come home and i heard a recurring sound in the engine bay (2 rounds/sec) and the frequency of the sound is proportionate to engine revs,,
it sounds like rubbing or something loose,,

any ideas?

What the heck is it with all the "noises" here late. I have no idea, did you look at your belt? Did you take it off and run the engine? Does it sound rubber? Metallic? plastic? Give us some clues here dude!

If go to the doc office and tell him. Something hurts in my torso.... Hes nto just going to say "oh we have to remove your liver."

Sorry, I am a bit sarcastic.... But friendly..... Really

I think it's something rubbing or maybe something loose.

700/60 = 11.7
11.7/6 = 1.95
1.95 is pretty close to 2

Or 700/6 = 116.7
116.7/60 = 1.95

This doesn't exactly mean clean the exhaust tips and while the engine is running and you at the back of the car hold one hand each over each exhaust tip but eh try it and see whats up. Good for feel and any smell on hands. Can even feel for strength of exhaust looking for a weak pulse. And or pull the plugs looking for an odd colored one. Or check everything out. Or take it to a mechanic and he'll love you

A pulley with play. Do you know what kind of noise you are hearing? Pulley bearings, valves, rods, missfiring or what. All any of us know is that there is a noise.

Do a search online for E_996_KATALOG.pdf it is the parts catalog for the 996. Each individual part is shown.
