Very interesting to watch. Don't let Ed see this...he'll buy it and build a plastic Porsche, no assembly required.

That's really cool - the Porsche museum could keep a Type 64 on the road forever.

That one is like a hot melt glue gun.

We had one that worked with plastic slurry and a LASER. The LASER would trace the shape in 0.003" thicknesses at a time on the surface of the slurry. When it was done the part would rise up out of the slurry on a platform. I always expected the theme from 2001 to play in the backround as it rose out of the tank.

finally watched the vid... yea cool stuff, we had a demo and the guy made a chain... like a camshft chain. It works too... comes out all in one piece!

I had not seen the scanner before and for the price point I am going to look into getting one for the shop. Its an easy sell to managment, I will keep ya posted if I land one! In January we installed a brand new high speed machining center (Fadal w/15k spindle 21 tools) I am slow on work right now so this will boost my internal workload - yippy, something to do today !!

oh, I made another tool for the indy shop 2 days ago to measure bolt stretch on the connecting rod bolts for the new LNE block we are building. My contact wasnt there, but I left it for him along with a note and some pics. When I showed up yesterday he was past that point and said - "Thanks for the tool, I could not have done the job without it, worked perfectly"

Its not something I invented, rather copied, but knew he didnt have. The tool sells for $100-200, I made a great replica outta some scrap junk... maybe $5 worth of material - today I am working on a solution for grinding the piston rings to est the "gap" - the tool leaves a bit of a burr, and I have an off the shelf solution for $6!
its a good marriage of tallents right now. The motor that is being worked on is a 3.6 with the LNE block and many other parts ! STOKED !
