Default Ain't got jack

Does anyone make a screw or bottle jack that is 3 inches tall when it is compressed and maybe 15 - 18" tall extended? Just curious.

I was in the garage and thought about jacking up the car, again, and thought to my self, "Stu, wouldn't it be nice to be able to throw a couple of bottle jacks under it and (preferably) take your screw gun and lift that sucker up?"

Four would be nice and convenient. One for each jacking point.

Anybody?

They are not exactly stable imo -

Why not get 4 scissors jacks like the one that came with the car?

I use mine to get it up so I can get the floor jack under it, so since it is out already, if I had 3 more I could just go right on up

Pick up a $90 aluminum floor jack from Harbor Freight.

The bottle jacks usually have a cylinder within a cylinder so at 3" to start it would need 5 cylinders to get up 15".
Not feasable

I've got something like that one. Mines red Auto parts stores have all sorts of fun things.

A good idea--but nothing that short to get under these cars is available. Perhaps you could dig a hole in the roadway...

I bought one of those also. Pretty lightweight and good for the money.

Thanks. I had envisioned a coffee can size hydrualic jack, about 3" high. Maybe 5 or 6 telescoping things....driven by a single control? Oh well.

BTW I do own a Harbor Freight aluminum low profile (lo=pro) jack. I did use it under the engine (I know, I know) to jack up the car and it bent the axle on the front slider. It is still usable, but....
