Default Litronic Headlight kit

Is $1600 a good deal for the litronic headlight kit for an 01 on turbo? Do it make a huge difference in the look?

A bit steep in the price if they are used. I've seen used sets in good shape for under $1K. I think it makes a huge difference in the lighting at night!

I've always thought the halogens in the car were pretty top notch.

Oh Ed, fu*ck me! I was reading this post and took a drink of Coke (the liquid kind!) and read the last sentence. I was barely able to swallow the Coke before I started laughing out loud! Too funny!

What do you mean: "by for an 01 on turbo" ?
Are they for an 01 Turbo? if you car is a Mk1 they will not fit without changing the front fender.

I bought a used set for my 986 (same lights as the Mk 1 996) for less than $1k.

That price sounds a little steep if they are used.

Pete,

They are out there all the time on e-bay (but they don't last for long). You just need to be patient and wait for the last second bid.

are they for a turbo or non turbo? Mine are non Turbo

Also, I think I am confused. I have HID, it's that bluish color, and when I turn on my lights they adjust, does that mean I have the litronics? Are there only litronics and halogens? I was under the impression that litronics was an upgrade to the existing HID system??

Litronics, is just the Porsche term for HID headlights. It sounds like you've already got 'em.
