Default Interior- Alcantara vs. Carbon Fiber

Wondering everyones opinon. I love CF to death but just to expensive for some parts, not that Alcantara is cheap but a good alternative..

Which is generally "worth" more? Reason I'm asking is I have my door handles wrapped in black Alcantara and was considering trading possibly for some CF ones but didnt know the "value". thanks

I have neither, but I would use Alcantara over the CF. Looking at GT3s with Alcantara interiors and steering wheels looks very nice to me.

I love the Alcantara just as much, but mine came with black and to me it looks pretty much stock, lighter gray or charcoal would look much better.

I have the handles and door pockets and those little covers in the front side of the shifters and its looks just a bit plain in black.

I will always choose Alcantara over CF.

I can handle the alcantara on the roof liner, but I don't like it anywhere else in the car. The heavy use of alcantara in the 997 GT3 is one reason I would not buy one. It looks OK when new, but after a few years of use, it gets matted and looks terrible.

But that's just my opinion.... and what the hell do I know..... I drive a Honda!

I agree with you Captain Honda, I love the way it looks but had Alcantara inserts on the seats in my Audi S4 and after 2 years it looked like crap.
If it's in a place that gets no wear and tear like the headliner it's awesome.
I guess the CF is personal preference, I'm not a fan.

A combination Alcantara/Carbon Fiber would be awesome

Alcantara (Big parts) - Dash, roof liner, door panels

Carbon fiber (Smaller parts)- rear console, upper console, shifter, e-brake, steering wheel, door handles, air vents...

I think too much in the way of accent pieces detract from the interior, personally. I think understated is more classy, anyone climbing into your car already knows its a 911, and that is enough.

If that ^ is true ( and I don't think it is) it only proves how low you guys have set your expectations for a super hero!

The Green Lantern had his ring, Batman had the Batmobile, but the "RL Renegade" drives the White Tulip! Somehow I don't think that is going to strike fear in the hearts of the bad guys!

Well, come on, the choice is you or Phil... hmm, that's a photoshop almost as scary as biker Phil.
