Dick's Autobody is probably the best painter in the area... but on the pricier side as well because of it.

There's a shop called Invisible Touch in Bedford.
The owner's a little bit like the 'soup ****' but if you bring a p car, and he likes you, he'll treat you and your car like it's his car.

I'm going with Dick's. I used them a long time ago and they were excellent. I've wrestled with the pros and cons of respraying and i've decided to do it. I'll still drive the **** out of the car...i'm addicted. I'll let you guys know how I make out.

I thing the attachement nuts for the hood are painted on when the underside is painted. I would still want the hood off when painted and have the paint stripped so that non of the galvanizing takes damage from sanding. Then probably have the hood reattached after drying and then touch up the attachment area. What ever the case it would be nice if the painter has the right stuff for priming galvanizing.

If you get the respray make sure you wait a month before applying the clear bra because the paint is still breathing..and its ok to be **** aren't we all in someway. Goodluck

+1 and don't wax it or apply a synthetic protectant on it for at least 30 days for the same reason mentioned above ^.

Tim, you're talking about the hood right?

Big day today. I picked up the car today from dicks and it looks amazing! I swear it looks brand new. The guy that worked on my car is an artist. No kidding. They painted the bumper, the hood and blended the fenders. They even removed some blemishes from around the car. It really looks beautiful. Glad I did it!

You can't possibly post something like this and then NOT include pics... you will get roasted... Glad you went with Dick's - they are the best in Boston metro as far as I can remember.

PICS OR BAN!

Will you have a clear bra installed now to protect the newly painted surface? I would be afraid to drive the car now because it's too perfect.
