Default Well, I Was Afraid This Would Happen When I Bought This 996!

She turned 100,000 miles this morning

I was going to make it more memorable but there was a cop behind me so she was only doing 45 mph.
Anyway, 100,000 miles and only new brake pads, new clutch at 95,000, new water pump at 65,000, and 2 new window regulators. Plus the service that I did, learning from RL and renntech.
Thanks to the RL community for helping me to understand her and keep her out of the shop.
Happy motoring!!

Fantastic achievement and not a lot of maintainance for 100k miles. Too bad a cop was so close.

I always had a mental issue when my cars hit 100K. Becasue in the USA it has been pounded into our heads that at 100K miles is such a bad thing..... However my 928 has 180K and the 996 has 105K.... Now you can just continue to enjoy it and not even care what the odometer says anymore.

When I had my 944 it had 150k miles and still looked and performed better than vehicles half it's age with much less mileage.

It's all about maintenance and actually caring for a vehicle. The mileage means nothing if it is not abused. Look at how awful some rental cars look after just 10k miles!

I'm at about 84k on my 996, so 100k is not too far away for me either!

I agree!

if I get another p-car it will be in addition to the 996, not a replacement. its just too good of a car, too drivable, too good as a DD and too fun at the track... anything else would be a weekend "sun toy" like an 80's Carerra or Targa - hey Marc, you are pretty smart

With only 33k mi on my P-car, it's going to be awhile before I hit 100k...lots of smiles and grins coming up to get there - way to go on reaching that first milestone.
