Were you drinking when you made this post also? Come on Randy try to be nice. I think the car looks great, which I understand is subjective...many of us on here are not Purists and like a bit of an OEM twist on things.

Ditto. I've not seen posts from Randy before and I saw two of them in different threads this morning and both made me think that he's a jackass. Nice way to introduce yourself to the group.

After reading through this thread a little bit ago........I thought I remembered seeing a 996 decklid for sale for cheap somewhere. I looked and it was on CL. This person has a complete lid for sale for $100! Looks like it has some scratches, but it's RED and it's CHEAP! I don't think you're going to find one much cheaper than this!

Porsche 996 911 Rear Deck Lid Red - $100 (SF Bay)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Porsche Rear Deck Lid. Guards Red paints kinda faded and has a couple of small scratches. $100FIRM Email for pics can possibly deliver not to south bay though.

A lot of great people here on the forum have been very helpful to me! Small or big........I'd like to try and return some help if I can!
BTW, gota911......was that your black 996 in your screen name pic? I like your double "half-moon" exhaust tips. Were those OE? Any mods required to install them or were they a direct fit? How about the cutouts in the bumper........Did those need to be opened up any? I believe those tips only came originally on 996 Turbos?
