Default The Busy wheel!

Just got done cleaning my wheels. They are the 2 piece 18" Sport Design wheels. Nothing worse than having to clean a busy style wheel! All the spokes and around all the rivets with your finger!! Talk about a BB!! All I could think about was how nice it would be to have the 5 spoke Carrera wheel right about now! They DO look good though I must say!

I have the sport classic II's - yup, tough to clean...

I found a cheap brush at Walmart for $3 that has really long, soft bristles...it really works great and saves a bunch of time/energy.... not a perfect job, but for the weekly wash, it keeps them clean enough that they are easy to detail every couple months or so...

PICS!!!

Eagle all wheel and tire cleaner makes quick work of busting dust and tire dirt off. Spray on and rinse off a lot of the stuff. Of course not all the stuff comes off but you can get wash mit or soft brush anything still stuck. I love it for the tires.

Love the ceramics! Has it been determined why they have nearly zero brake dust? I've always thought that the dust was from the pads. Do PCCB's have harder pads or are they just a different compound?

It is from the pads I been told. I heard the Hawk pads are really good very little brake dust.

first off,i would look into the right brushes,it makes all the difference.check out Detailingdynamics.com or autogeek.com,invest in a good brush or brushes.also as far as the solution you use,you mention eagle brand, well that will get the wheel clean but its gonna strip whatever protectant you have on the wheels so i would use something less harsh, and of course make sure the wheels are treated after cleaning(wax, sealent).this will also help to repel and also remove the brake dust, witch also is unavoidable, regardless of the brakepads!i find that driving habits have more to do with the amount of brake dust, makes sense.

The thing of it is, my car sees no rain or bad weather, and its waxed and stays clean pretty much all the time. Its garaged so I go over it with a CA duster. The wheels get brake dust after every drive naturally, so after about 2 or 3 drives I get a damp rag and clean em off. I only wash her every once in a while, so washing my wheels with cleaner and or some sort of brush is more work than I need to do. Sorry bout the size of the pic!

The sport design wheels rock! I don't care how long it takes to clean them.
They look so damn good. I am not a turbo twist guy myself.

I can't believe I just said that.
