Default what is the reservoir on the left side in engine bay?

Sorry about some of the Q's, dont have my service manual yet. What is the yellowish liquid/reservoir at the extreme left of the engine compartment?

Thanks!

Yes it is a special type and from what I understand their are a few different types. Some say you can mix them, some say you cant because they will jello.... It being "special" has to do with the aluminum.

If the tank is yellow, you will get to know it intimately soon enough!

Often by the time your coolant tank is yellow, it will probably crack and you'll be replacing it with a new tank.

I think it is spelled Penison and it should be Pink. Not sure of the mixture, but should be on the bottle.

Cool

What everyone is telling you about that resevoir is true.
A: The fluid inside is not over-the-counter coolant mix because the engine it is cooling is not made out of an iron block or heads. Aluminum/magnesium will react badly to regular coolant fluids and water. Search around here to find the proper type fluid. Hopefully it should not need topping off to befgin with.
B: The "yellow" color of the resevoir material means the plastic is getting old and hard (not stained by rust - remember the engine is aluminum/magnesium not iron). That discoloration is a time and experience tested signal that you should have it replaced at your next $$ convenience. If it cracks, it will leak out your coolant fluid. That will have the same effect on your engine as if it was iron.
C: FYI the small black filler in the middle of the engine compartment is your power steering fluid. It is massively corrosive to everything so do not let it drip on ANYTHING when you check it (think the acid slime drooled by the ALIEN). There is nearly ZERO chance that you will find the proper Porsche power steering fluid at any parts store. For this stuff, you need to see the parts window at your dealership or maybe an Indy will slip you a little if it is low.

Thanks guys! My reservoir looks fine, white opaque, but the fluid inside is kinda hard to see and looks, to me, to be like a greenish yellowish color. I will uncap it when its cool and check further. The car only has 37000 miles and was a lease, so I would hope the car was maintained pretty well
