At just over 50K miles? One would think this is a bit premature, do you think?

If you have any interest in doing some of those yourself, this is a great place to get the training and save a few bucks...

I would say... those parts would cost @$300... I wonder if a dealer will just give you the cats as a DIY... prob not.

My indy changed the belt in 10 seconds. Make it 20 seconds as I stood and watched. Part is about $40

He charged me 2 hrs or $160 to change the plugs and rings. Most of that two hours was to remove and reinstall rear wheels and mufflers. Its an extra 6 bolts for the CATs to unconnect it from the headers and 2 clips for oxygen sensors. Sensors need to go into the new CATs.

I pay $80 for an oil change.

Yeah but my dealer gives me a free loaner Cayman S, got Porsche NA to goodwill some very expensive parts, and is 15 mins from my house....sometimes convenience is priceless :-)

Agreed! If I was in the same situation, I would have the dealer install the parts. While I could probably do it myself, there comes a point in time where a a few dollars saved can cost you in the long run.

I am sure your dealer went to bat for you with Porsche NA. So considering what you got from Porsche NA for FREE, I think the dealer should get a few $$$$ for their time, effort, and willingness to help.

I'm glad Porsche NA stepped up to the plate for you!
