some fitment (prep cost is something to consider).... but mostly because of cracking upon small impacts. There is very small flex in fiberglass unlike the OEM.

I hit a cone (road debris) on the highway doing 80+mph.... all it need was a buffing and it was good as new... with fiberglass, it would of def cracked.

The factory MkII Aero/GT3 bumper looks great and it's not crazy expensive.

Can't do the MKII GT3 wing on Targa. I transformed mine tastefully....at least I think I did.

Take you time and find deals on OEM parts....eBay, rennlst forum etc. Fiber Glass is a pain when they start to crack and bubble. Took me 2 years to complete my transformation, that is the fun part for me asides from driving the car. I was going to buy a Targa and decided not to because I liked the MKII GT3look and the Targa has limits for these mods.

Why cant you do the MKII Wing on a Targa? I know it wont fit a cab but why not a Targa?

I think is because the rear window opens up like a hatch.

I've got essentially the same car. I've done full suspension to mine as well as new wheels. Next on the list is a GT3 front bumper, then I think I'm done with the exterior. Here's a couple of shots as she sits today.

I have the OEM polyurethane bumper cover and I bumped into the curb pulling into a parking spot. Scratched the clear bra, but just bounced off the curb, no damage to the bumper. Also, body shops may charge you extra to paint and install aftermarket parts because sometimes it involves extra labor to get it to fit right.

I like the OEM Aerokit Mk II front. It looks good, it's been tested by the factory in the wind tunnel, it doesn't look "weird" which can affect resale. Plus if you already have the OEM side skirts the lines flow beautifully.

BTW, another option for the rear is the Carrera Spoiler. Fits all models and is a little different and understated compared to the GT3 look.

Best thing for exterior is wash and wax.
