I was just going to make this same point. I don't like HRE/iForged because I consider this an absolute engineering/design oversight that is a safety concern.

So it's not mud and debris. It's water. Careful out there and thanks for sharing!

Here are some interior pics taken just before delivery. As I said in an earlier thread, I was a little worried about going with the Boxter Red interior. I have to say that after spending 3+ days in it, I really do like it.

Those are nice shots... After first seeing the interior... OMG... that's going to give me nightmares!!! But after looking at it for a while, I think it screams. Although I'd prefer the "orangey" look of an interior, the red is fine as well. But better keep it clean or else the dirt "permanently" embeds itself in the fibers.

I love the part about sharing the drive with your daughter. Those damn kids grow up so fast that it is an absolute treat to spend time with them as they are on that growing curve. Hope the time you spent with each other was great

Love the interior.

I saw Porsche's latest version of the red interior, Carrera Red, in person about 6 months ago. It was AWESOME. It looks much brighter in most pics, than it does in person. It has a cranberry tint to it that is very deep and rich looking. It is definately on my list of potential interior colors if I ever get another Porsche.

You can drive the early 911's & 356's all day and get out feeling refreshed (assuming you left the stock suspension alone). Not so on our new and improved vehicles.

Funny how the pictures make it look RED. In reality, you're right. The color is more of a terracotta red than it appears. After spending a solid 3+ days with the car, I've gotten to where I love it!

Looks good. I bought an 06 GTO in Torrid Red with red hot leather interior and didn't have a problem with red interior. Used to tell everyone I bought the car at night and I thought the color was "brown".

But seriously I liked the color. I viewed the car several times in the daylight as well as night when I actually did buy the car.

When I go on long trips, i take out about 4lbs out of the tires, and that seems to take alot of the jarring out of the ride. Some will say that will wear out your tires quicker, but if I only get 16k instead of 18K out of my rears, I take it instead of that jarring and bumping anytime. I think that Porsche overinflated the tires to meet EPA gas mileage standards without regard for the ride, I think they think it now has that "sporty" ride. Great for a track, not so great for those 2000 miles treks.
