Default Red "S" Badge on Decklid..

Whats everyones opinion on a C4S darker car color ( Black, grey) to have the "S" symbol in Red? I've seen a few with it but just wondering..

Part of me thinks it compliments the red strip that goes accross even though its a darker shade on the strip.

thanks

I've been considering this as well... I have a dark blue car. I think it looks good on the cars when I've seen it.

Gimmicky. I liken it to the Jetta guys puttin BORA on their VW commuter car. Or the Honda guys getting the painted red badges except the S would be worse since the factory doesn't make a red S available... ever.

It looks good on Lapis Blue cars too, but sometimes when I got going too fast, the cape would deploy too early.

I did it to my seal gray C4 S. I did it myself with the S on the car. Masked it out with an Xto and a magnafying glass. I used red nail polish, 1000 grit wet/dry and took my time on a nice Sat. afternoon. Looks nice and would do it again. BTW, six beer job

I was thinking about getting another S and having an SS, but I don't think so

I think the red S looks awesome. My car was ordered by the OW debadged. I wanted the badges. I wanted the red S. The only place I found them was at Bumperplugs. But the cost was such that it was too darn expensive for what it is to be justifiable in principle. I know...need to make money, recover tooling costs, blah blah blah... The reasonings don't make it any more palatable. Thus, I have the more boring grey S...but I'm very happy with it and don't feel like I got ripped off each time I look at it.

Ive seen a few varations lately. I spotted 911S on a white 997 yesterday with satin black rims... looked sharp to me.
