For the first time in nearly 20 years, I got too close to a curb and rashed up the wheel. Not just a little, but I got a good 1/3 of the rim edge. While I know it's not the end of the world, and I can (and likely will) refinish it fairly cheaply, it was still a sick feeling as I heard and felt the crunch of the hit.
Damnit.
Damnit.

OUCH!!!
When my wife had a MB CLK, she seemed to use the wheels as curb feelers!![banghead](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/banghead.gif)
Some women seem to have problems with spacial visulization.
That works to my advantage because my wife thinks that this |________________| is 10 inches!

The moment I hit, I was sure the front end was really mashed since it was a big impact. Not a feeling I'd like to experience again - nor the feeling of complete stupidity that followed it.

I did that just the other day... It was only a little nick, and on my snow rims... but still, it's a sickening feeling.
I know about this curb, too... It's in a parking lot I'm in almost every day, but a big 'ol pickup truck was in the space right across from it, so, although I had the steering wheel at full lock, I didn't have the clearance and hit the curb.

Yup... it is a sickening feeling... had the new wheels barely on a week... and was a little too aggressive with a corner... ugh... luckily it's not that expensive to replace... but man... I could just feel my stomach sink...

Not the end of the world -- most of the time they can fix it for less than $100 while you wait.
Wait until you are ready to sell it. If you live in the long island queens area I can recommend a guy I used who fixed a bent rim that the dealer swore I would have to replace for >$800.00
They can even fix cracked rims.
