Default The suspense is killing me

My 996 is to be delivered this morning before noon. Then guess what, then no title agencies are open today so all I can do it look at it. The roads are still pretty messy anyway, So in my mind I can use that as the justification to not drive it.

What are you looking to get?
2000-2002 Aero 996 or spend the extra cash and get a 2001-2002 996 Turbo..im looking hard...prices range from 23k all the way to 34k. I was on an Audi kick...2004 Audi Avant USP, 1999 Audi A4 Avant (gt28 Turbo), 2005 Audi S4 and an 2006 Audi A3. So sold the Audi(s) got a 2007 Saab Aero 2.8T for a daily driver...and now I just need my fun car..

Tough to have your Porsche, and not be able to drive it, but certainly you can take it for a short drive...in your neighborhood. If the temps are above freezing you'll be fine, if you don't stomp on it. Are you near Pgh?

I had an Audi S4 between my 951 and Boxster S, great car but a Porsche is...well...a Porsche!
Have the wifes Allroad for my Audi fix.

I'd go for a 2002+ so you have the updated car.. if you can swing a TT..well thats a no brainier!

Does your state have temporary trip permits? Took 30 days for me to get the title for my Porsche due to the &%@#@#^#$^ previous owner's bank taking so @^&#$^@#$%@#$ long to release the title, but for $5, I could legally drive it for several days (officially just from the point of pickup to the point of delivery) despite having no title and no tags. This permit (purchase online) + paperwork showing proof of purchase is all I needed. You may be able to do something like this to at least get it on the street

Just beware that summer performance tires and snow/ice don't mix. Also, be aware that for best life of the engine, let it warm up to operating temperature before pushing it hard. Hard to resist the temptation, I know.

you should be able to drive with no title as long as you show proof of purchase and be honest that the title is in transfer from the bank -

and dont get stopped
