Shifter boot trim repair - any ideas?

Hi Tom,
I have got two of the rings from kropka, they are smooth and can be painted. I did sand mine prior to painting with 400 and then 1200. Painted with four coats of silver although there is a silver that look like chrome when dried.
Let the paint cure for as long as possible prior to handling otherwise it will smudge and move when handled. It's a slow process to add the leather, I got my leather with a beautiful texture out of Mountain Leather Supply in Sandy UT. (they have any species, texture or color you want)
Good Luck with it , be patient with the process!!
Kind Regards,

Hate to thread jack here, but @wiggle_puppy , this is my dream shifter **** set up. Care to share where you got it?
