C4S + Blizzaks + snow= fun
First time to drive the car in real winter weather. The LM60's did great and car felt very stable. PSM on was good, PSM off much better.
Also funny to see the WTF look on people when they saw the car come by. Not too many 996's playing in the snow around here.(never seen another one).
Roads are cleared now so will have to wait for some more fun.
Weather tech mats are on the way so I can continue to enjoy the car an not worry about getting the interior dirty.
By the way, any 'limits' on driving the car with PSM triggered pretty much full time? Or should the more spirited drive in snow always be done with the system off?

I have found that keeping PSM on in the snow is the way to go on public roads, but when I'm on the back roads, parking lot or neighborhood play-runs, the nannies must be disabled for true enjoyment. I have managed to get my car completely sideways and across a neighbor's lawn while exploring the limits. Luckily, I missed the trees.

My car has no PSM. You would be surprised at how easy to control it is in the snow with no intervention. It's a great way to understand how the suspension works, most especially the passive-steer attribute of the rear. I have nothing against PSM at all, but if you want to understand the glory of what Porsche accomplished with this suspension without going a million miles an hour to do it, find a snowy spot and switch it off. It's enlightening.
