Default Detailed DIY Sound System Install With 50+ Photos

Here is a link to a pictorial of a sound system I installed over the summer. The system was purchased from Rod Birch at Car Audio Innovations. As a hobby, I've installed many systems over the years, but the 996 was by far the favorite. Enjoy!

Excellent. Love when people take the time to thoroughly document in photos.

I've never used liquid tape--how does it compare for holding power with heat shrink?

nice stuff dude! Rod is easily one of the nicest and most helpful dudes you will ever meet in the audio profession. I know this and I'm not even a customer of his,I just call him and his staff for advice every once and awhile.

That's a great link. I love the work you did. Also, nice to see that Car Audio Innovations is right here in Roseville so I know where to get a system put in when it's time....

Does the hood hit the amplifier? Looks like it might when it's closed...?

No, the hood does NOT hit the amp. The rubber stops (Home Depot purchase) act as spacers, which set the amp forward (towards the headlights) enough to where the hood closes without any contact.
