Saying goodbye to my car
Someone is coming over in a couple hours to pick up my car. I've never been attached to a car before when selling it, this is the first time. It's hard, but knowing a Turbo will be coming in the Spring makes it slightly easier. Just slightly though.
This was my first Porsche, something I'd wanted since I was in college. I wonder if other people have a soft spot for their first Pcar.

Miss mine quite a bit but it's only been a few weeks now. I get really attached to them though. the 996 was the first car I've sold in nearly 8 years.
I'll likely never sell my A4.

I am really missing my recently sold 968... but can't wait to find that 996 I'm looking for!
That is the great thing about Porsches: there is always another one down the road. This will be my 4th, each one better than the previous.

Sold mine this summer. Only the 2nd of about 6-7 P-cars that I became really attached to. Had a good last drive though, killing a lot of bugs between Denver and Amarillo where the happy new owner met me and drove home to DFW.
Coming home to the replacement did help alleviate any pain . I'm sure the new Turbo will do the same for you.

That is quite sad! But the new BOOST coming will make you quickly forget this one. I still miss my first one -- 1973 914-4. It was a fun car to learn about Porsches with!

I almost sold my C4S about 6 mos ago. The guy came over took for a drive with his wife, (left his brand new BMW in the street). I saw him coming down the street after the drive. My car looked so good coming down the street, with the top down, with those Fabspeed's rumbling. Couldn't pull the string, no matter what he offered me (a very reasonable price: 46K). Canceled the ad, kept the car, despite his constant calling me back, and I am not looking back! This is my 4th Porsche (356, 914 and a Boxster S) and by far the Carrera 4S is DA KIND. Now I need to talk the wife into a New Turbo Cab with PDK.

It's gone. The guy came over last night with three guys in their 20's who were all ogling his new car. He was giddy which was kind of fun to watch. My daughter and I watched him pull away and a couple minutes later heard him light it up on the main road, about a quarter mile away. I'd never heard the car before from outside, it sure did sound nice! My neighbor always use to say he could hear me coming from three blocks away, now I know what he meant.
