Default Winter Tire Feedback...

Anyone running the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60's that would care to provide some feedback? I live out on the West Coast - mainly rain in the winters, with a bit of snow and black ice thrown in. How do the LM-60's run on dry pavement?

The Blizzaks are the only ones available in 275/35/18's. I can run Pirellis in 295/35/18, but I'd rather move to a thinner tire for the winters. Anyone running 295's in the winter? Would the Pirelli's in 295's be a better option than the Blizzaks in 275? I have an 04 C4S with 11" wheels at the rear.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The 275/35 18 LM-60 is all that is available in that size, and the 275 Blizzak will provide you better traction than a 295 Pirelli will. The 295/35 18 Pirelli is also too tall for the AWD to be a good idea on a 996.

Please call me to order.

Just ordered my tires (LM-60) and would be in the car this weekend. I have a Carrera 2 and the tire size recommended for it is 265/30/18 for the rears and the fronts at 225/40/18.

I have the previous model Blizzak LM-25s on my C4S and they handle fine on dry pavement. Not as nicely as the 295 summer rubber, but not bad considering the extra grip they provide in the slippery stuff. Mine are the recommended 265s on a set of dedicated winter wheels (10-inch rears).
