Doesn't look that bad to me. I don't know why anyone would do that though. The front of a Cayman looks fine from the factory.

He probably could have purchased a 911 for what he put in to that.

OT, I really like the Carrera decal on your car. I considered doing that, but thought it might be a little too much on the cab.

There was a Cayman Race Car at Barber Motorsports Park last weekend when I was running up there. It had the GT3 Front end and a big *** wing on the back... It was purchased new and built nicely by Napleton Porsche. Let me tell you, it was some kind of Bad *** car too...

As far as that POS on Ebay... Salvage sums it up.. Particularly at that $$$

Well, why not? It seems like a fine thing to do with a salvage car. Better to restore a salvage car to stock and frankenstein a perfectly good one instead?

"Unique" pretty much summed it up too.

+1

I'd never hack up my perfectly good 996, but if I wrecked it and was going to fix it, I might dress it up a little.

"factory fresh"???

Not sure I understand the "GT3" part though. So it's nothing more than a Cayman with an "aero" nose or am I missing something?

You can buy a GT3 nose for a Cayman on ebay for $1295.

Kind of pretty. Extra points for not putting a GT3 sticker on it. Plus I'm a sucker for tan or natural brown interiors!

Sure - all the paint that was on the smooshed nose was removed with the bent body panels. The paint on the rest of the vehicle is original... And the paint on the new 997 parts - well, you'd have to paint those before putting them on, so they don't count!
