From what I've read it is believed to be the same car.
Pretty rare color. Raspberry Metallic Porsche 968.

There's one for sale in the Portland, OR area (no relationship to owner).

Seeing Lemans in the theater when I was a kid set the stage for my life. I probably would have been a very content accountant otherwise.

I mistakenly bought a Rolex because the opening scene where he props up his arm on his 912. I didn't know anything about watches when I bought it. Another addiction contracted from Mr. McQueen. It's taken me 40 some years to quit trying lame substitutes and purchase a Porsche. A 996 seemed much more practical than a 912!

"Failure to Launch"

Mathew Mcconaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Comedy

He drives an early black 911, numerous shots of the car.

Pretty funny movie about a guy in his 30's that has no motivation to move out of mom and dads home.

Anyone remember "No man's land"? 1987, nothing but Porsches, and maybe one Ferrari, not to mention Charlie Sheen

Saw Million Dollar Arm last night, the main character drives what looks like a MK1 996 C2 CAB. Multiple scenes, including double vomits inside the car.

Just found out that the "Porsche" driven in Top Gun and 48 Hours were not real Pcars, but rather replicas.
i work for a major toy company, and we tried to do a a licensed toy vehicle but was rejected because they were not the real thing..

OT: so is the Ferraris in Miami Vice.... not the real thing... :P

Fracture - Anthony Hopkins drives a Carrera GT and his wife drives a Cayenne. That was a great movie.

Just saw Wolf of Wall Street. It looks like a red 70's Carrera RS (if there is such a thing - don't really get into air cooled cars) in the garage scene near the end.

Default Two good ones

"Private Benjamin"...Goldie Hawn's boyfriend drove a black 930.

"Tequila Sunrise"...Mel Gibson drove a black mid-80s 911 coupe. (This is very good movie...Gibson's best.)
