Default Problem with headlights

I've recently had a problem with the headlights on my 996.

When turned on, the low beams look very very dim. However the high beams work fine and the fog lights work as well.

I have tried changing the bulbs and I also changed the headlight switch, but still nothing...

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

BOTH low beams are dim?

that sounds like a grounding issue - anything corroded inside when you swapped bulbs? check connections...

swap your headlights with known working ones of a friend - if the prblem goes away you have it isolated...where are you located ?

PS welcome to RL and when you get a second post a quick BIO and a couple pics (even just cell phone pics if thats all you have)

Thanks for the welcome! I will try and get some pictures up. I am located in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina.

Yes, both bulbs are dim. I purchased new bulbs to replace the old ones so I am fairly certain it's not the bulbs. I did not remember seeing any corrosion on the connectors but I will definitely give it another look.

I did have my ignition switch changed not long before this problem came up, I am wondering if that could possibly be related?
