Default Air conditioning drainage problem

Could anyone here comment on a '99 996 AC condensation flood problem?

Water runs down (or overflows) through the passenger side console wall to the floor of passenger side. The problem is so bad that after an hour of driving almost a bottle's worth of liquid is on the floor.

Is A/C unit situated above the passenger's lap? *It looks like the draining is not working properly.

Your drains are probably plugged up.

Lift up the carpet, there's an overflow tube coming from the condensation reservoir which sits just under the dash, above your feet area. It snakes around the central console area a bit but easy to find. Check the tube is attached securely and that it flows to a rubber grommet in the footwell floor. This then flows directly out the bottom of the car. The overflow reservoir is also known to crack quite easlity if kicked by accident. Also check the pipe isn't blocked either, I blew air up mine to check.

Good luck...

Had exactly the same thing on mine.
Tube was plugged (small stone or something). Remove tube and blow high pressure air through it.

Amazing amount of condensation in a short time.
