3 winters so far with that sizing and "approved" by a Porsche tech.

I'm keeping my turbo hollow spokes as track rims.

I may do the same thing, even though I'd really like to get some even lighter track wheels.

yeah. the hollow spokes are just a stopgap. I like to not sink in crazy money on the car. I did that w/ the Audi so any serious $ will go towards a race car if I do go crazy.

The hollow spokes are lighter but not that much lighter. Still a lot of rubber weight. I had fikse's on my Audi and I could totally tell the difference at Laguna Seca between them and BBS CHs.

Why not CCW wheels? Seems to be popular w/ the GT3 crowd.

Rather not invest in a custom set of track wheels for the C4S. Let's be honest; not very many track this platform.

OT but The OZ will cost you around $1700+. You're not that far off from CCW wheels...AND you will have better resale later on, especially with the Turbo folks.

The OZs you posted are shot peened while CCWs are forged.

I was just talking to my mechanic today and he reminded me why I should have done the motorsport camshafts. He said to start saving and next time I need a clutch, he'll do the cams.

I asked him out of curiosity if the GT3 engine would work and he said he could make it work. Transmission would be difficult, but he said he can pretty much work out the sensors and the wiring. heh.

but w/ the camshafts and the ECU, i'd be close to GT3 numbers. It'd be one fast C4s.

Unfortunately no, the rear wheel offsets are too agressive for a narrow-body 996. The rear wheels wouold stick out too far and you would probably have issues with the rear tires rubbing on the fender.

Ed, you just crack me up!

I modified my original post (below) to be 100% accurate for EVERYONE on RL!

No, that is not what I am saying.

What I AM saying is that you should buy them because they will fit your car just as well as the GT2 wing and the Turbo mufflers did!
