Buddy of mine has a VW GTI. He is going built motor, big turbo and blah blah... He wants Porsche brake's (Common upgrades for the VW's)

Now my question is which Calipers is the Smallest of the Porsche's? 986? same as 996 C2? 986S same as C4S/Turbo?

Should be rear of 986 non-S (which may or may not be the same as any other P-car).

996, 9867S, 987S and CaymanS all have the same front and rear. Non S 986 etc have smaller front and rear calipers.

I am pretty sure...the rear 996 caliper is the front 986 caliper, well they use the same exact pads at least because I have given my used rear pads for a boxster to use up front.

Well yeah, the cosmetics are different... Some are not painted, some are black, silver, red. The 986 calipers aren't fully painted. At least my buddy's 01 Boxster isn't.

While the pads are the same the rotors are actually thicker on the 996 making them use a different caliper too.
