Small Leak - What is it?
Hey folks,
Noticed a very small leak, orangish color, coming from the passenger side rear of the car. I only took a quick look but it appears to be coming from a seal right at the point where a large rubber hose connects. At first I thought it was from the hose clamp but a better look makes me think it is from the metal piece the hose connects to. Super small leak but want to get ahead of it. Very difficult spot to reach as it sits above the exhaust system. Would love some direction here. Car runs fine, no loss of oil pressure, no smoke, idles fine, etc.
Thanks

Sounds like coolant. Is it the main coolant hose or the smaller 90 deg hose on the bottom of the engine? Regardless it is a very easy fix! Both connections have gaskets that can be replaced. Remove the airbox if it is the upper large hose, it will be right there, easy fix.

sorry for the lack of details. Have not had time to take a picture. The car is a 99 cab. Second motor. Its not the small hose at the bottom. Its the big hose that is above the exhaust system. It does look like it is directly below the airbox. Seems like the leak is coming from a gasket of some sort between two metal parts, not the hose itself. Hope that makes sense.
