No regrets...
Driving home from work tonight. Warm summer evening... windows down, sunroof open... cruising on a country road. Stevie Ray Vaughan on the stereo... I love this car...

Here's what I posted a couple of weeks ago on my Facebook wall:
It was a good morning... cruising south on the beach drive through Encinitas, Leucadia, Del Mar with the top down, the surf crashing the beach, gulls squeeking in the distance, the purr of 3.4 liters of precision German engineering serving as the back beat to Eric Clapton's Classical Gas... GAWD I love my car! GAWD I love San Diego!!!
Quintessential moments - this was one, cruising back from the Carlsbad Exotic Car meet at about 9am a couple of Saturday morning ago...

yup, no regrets.
aside from really enjoying my car some of the events the club here in the Canada West Region have has really made owning the car special.
From spring to fall there is a drive called Bobs breakfast club, Saturday mornings we meet at a starbucks in west Vancouver, EARLY like 05:30, go for a spirited drive up the sea to sky highway then find our way back into north vancouver for some breakfast.
Is cool leaving my place like at 05:00, quiet streets, all by myself on the highway then hooking up along the way to the meet with the other cars.
lots of cars show up, all kinds of Porsches.

No, the little green circle stays on until you're totally humiliated on the board by Tim and learn what the hell it means, and how to turn it off!! Ouch, my head is starting to hurt again.

I thought that green circle meant it was time to wind the digital clock!
And as long as we are on the topic of a great drive, this past Friday (July 2) I drove from Jacksonville, Florida, to Cleveland, Ohio (918.3 miles) to visit my parents for a week. I leave the day after tomorrow. Today, I paid a visit to one of our more well known, currently banned in Boston and everywhere else, ex-Rennlisters. He is doing great. He is out there lurking, so his memory, like The Force, still flows though many a keyboard here. I had never met him personally before, so it was a real treat to meet him at his "office" and chat for over an hour and a half. Chris is truly an awesome guy. I liked him immediately and he didn't do or say anything to change that opinion. He is a real life total Porschephile, with the Porsche fever running deep and thick in his blood. I hope his "sentence" is short. But, I now know where to find him and will look forward to joining him for lunch again. He said to say "Hi" to everyone. If you know who I'm talking about, then Chris says "Hi." If not, well, nevermind.
