I'm pretty happy with the Optimum and the P21S line of products. Go over to the concours forum and you'll find tons of helpful info there. Congrats on your new car!

I use ONR on my car b/c I don't have an area to wash with a hose. I need to get raggtopp for the top. It's not perfect, but it does a good enough job if you keep on top of it.

I haven't given it a good clay/polish/wax yet, but I'm debating bw doing it myself or just getting it done by a pro.

Ahem! <Tim clears his throat>

Geo, congrats on getting a nice looking '05 cab! At least I THINK it is nice looking, but I can't tell for sure since you didn't post any pics. So consider this your "Newbie Initiation." It is customary for Newbies to post pics of their car and tell us a lottle about it. So...... come on Newbie, post the !@%^&* pics!

Congrats on the purchase and Welcome to Rennlist!

I also use and love Optimum No Rinse as a car wash soap.

I use Ultima Paint Guard Plus for wax/sealant, but these days it's hard to go wrong, so many great choices from Ultima, Zaino, Optimum

For more conventional soap and wax that you can buy at a local store, I like Meguiars Gold Class car wash soap and Meguiars NXT 2.0 tech wax

Make sure you spend some money on some good microfiber towels. I used to get mine from pak shack, but autopia and all the other sites have a good selection.

The other big tip is to use two buckets, one for clean water and car wash soap, and another for rinsing out your sponge or mitt (which becomes dirty water)
