Default Fixed Tail

Weird question here. Is it possbile to replace a fixed tail with the standard OEM 996 electronic tail. I don't like fixed GT3 style tails. Its for a 996 C2 with GT3 style tail installed??? Thanks

Yes. You just have to find the stock hood. I have both the stock hood as well as GT3. Changeout takes less than 30 minutes.

$200-$400 used... not incl paint. You also need the wiring harness for deploying the espoiler.

I have a perfect stock tail with spoiler and motors - bolt on and go.....

what color is your car?
are you wanting to get rid of the current one?

You will need to pony up the $17 membership to conduct a trade/sale, but we can certainly help you out.

If you have a gt3/aero wing and are looking for the stock setup I'd be happy to work out a trade with you. Drop me a PM.

As others have said the switch is not hard and I'm sure you could find someone to trade with you.

A few questions.

1) Do you have the Mk I, tail or Mk II
2) Are you parts Porsche parts or aftermarket (one way to tell is to find the Porsche P/N, another way is to look at the upper wing element and see if they are adjustable. The aftermarket wings are generally non-adjustable)
3) What color is your wing

If you have a real Mk I black tail, I'll trade my stock electronic wing with you.

Here are some pics

Mk I

Mk II
