Default v1 hardwire - visor clip modification

Yes I searched (and searched some more)

I keep reading references to this super duper modification to use the v1 clip on the head liner but I cant find instructions or pictures of what it looks like unmounted...

does anyone have pictures of the modded clip itself?

thanks.

Does not answer your post, but my V1 is above and to the right of the mirror. I use the suction cups. The one corner rests on the mirror top edge. It has not budged since placed last year. Gets great forward and rear signals.

Same here. I have my BEL hardwired, and it is attached to the windshield with suction cups just to the right of the mirror also.

What did you wire it to? The interior lights?

I bent the visor mount straight in a vise and used some felt between the headliner to keep it tight and rattle free.

Mine is not hard wired. I routed a long cable from the V1, hidden under the visor to and under the molding then under the dash to the cigarette lighter. A RadioShack plug with on-off switch keeps it off when not in use.
