Hi all,
I know this is a long shot....
I have a line on used 997 PSE cans. part #s 997 111 511 02 & 997 111 611 02
Will they--can they fit a 1999 996????
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

The cans will work. The electronics ? But the actual muffer part will work (actuator) and the only change will be the tips might not work,
That said C4 and C2 are differant tips IIRC for the wide body, cans are the same on both,

I think Juankimalo installed some 997 mufflers on his 996. I could not find his post, but I think he had to extend one of the pipes on the muffler (either the inlet pipe or the outlet pipe) to get them to fit corectly. I don't think it was a big deal to do this. You might want to PM him to get some additional info.

Yes Tim is right, Joaquim (juankimalo) did this on his car, I believe he also had to cut the bumper a little for the tips to fit. Don't be scared by relocation or adapter pipes, this is typical and easy work performed at all muffler shops and requires no rocket science or major expense. Cutting the bumper would keep me from doing it unless those cans and tips were really, really cheap.
