Default Installed: Aspherical Side Mirror Glass

For those of you that haven't done this already, you need to pick these up. The aspherical glass on the sides of the mirrors completely eliminate blind spots, and after driving with them for a week, you won't know how you could drive without them.

I have done this to all of my cars that have the option available (last one being a 04 VW R32), and when I saw that Suncoast carried these for the 996, I ordered right away. They only cost $149 and they just pop in. All you have to do is tilt the mirror up and out as far as it will go, then put a towel between the glass and the mirror, and insert a flat head screw driver and pop the glass out. Remove the heated mirror connectors (remember which one goes in which slot) and then pop the new mirror in. Yes, there are specific tools for changing the mirror glass, but this works just as well and it's free. Just be careful not to scratch the mirror housing paint and you'll be fine.

Next up is an EVOMS V-Flow and the EVOMSit software. I'll report back with pics and hopefully a dyno once I order and install the parts.

The $149 gets both mirrors plus the passenger side loses the "objects appear closer" etching.
