Hard acceleration followed by brief loss of power...
So... yesterday I was waiting and waiting and waiting for my opportunity to pull out onto a busy road. It was a left turn out of a shopping center onto a 4-lane road without a center median or lane, so I had to wait for the appropriate gap to open on both sides of the road.
When the gap opened, it was relatively small so I accelerated hard. No problem there. Once I got into the left lane, still accelerating, the car stumbled a bit... lost power for a second, and then returned to normal. I haven't ever had that issue, and it seems to run fine now. It was quite strange.
Any thoughts?

There was no gear shift, this happened in first gear. I don't think I got to the rev limiter... it sputtered before I got the chance. It felt like the engine was starved for fuel. I had 3/4 of a tank at the time, BTW.

Could be some sort of hiccup... The good news is you'll have fun driving around trying to re-create the problem. If you do, hopefully you'll be able to tell us more about the other variables / clues.
