I decided to treat myself to an early Fathers Day present. I took the day off from work and went to a track day at CMP and even splurged for a garage spot! I got in nearly 3 hours of trouble free and grin inducing track time! Every time I get the 996 on track, I'm reminded of what a great piece of engineering this car is.

A lot of posts on this forum are devoted to things that go wrong with these cars (not necessarily a bad thing and can be very helpful to others). Just wanted to pass along an example of something that goes right.

 

I also had a good day. Car was in for alignment and came out ready to rock! I was a bit worried installing pre-owned parts, but the alignment guy said it was a good set up and was in good shape...

Patrick do you also autocross your car? I'm going to the PCA autocross event later this month so it'll be the first performance event in my car. Hoping I see some familiar faces there and looking forward to figuring out my car's potential!

 

No, I've never been to an autocross. Our region recently started a series, so I may give it a go.

 

This one is on the 21st at Metrolina Expo. I think I got an email from the PCA yesterday as a reminder. Only $25 to enter and you get four runs.

 

I was thinking of doing the same switch. Please let us know what you think of them on the street. I'm worried it will be a little too harsh for my taste...
