Well at 53yrs of age I finally got my Porsche, its a 99 coupe, arena red, with sachs pessure plate and aluminum FW. I spent a lot of time studying all the posts and pros and cons, she does rumble a bit in neutral but really is easy to drive.....in all honesty the car is capable of far more than I will ever use, but it sure makes an old man happy......I am up in BC Canada but the clutch work was done by GMG......comments would be appreciated, the work was done in July 07, about 15000kms ago.......this is a great forum, so much info.....thxs everyone.

I know about the "not sure I can afford it" too, But on the other hand wouldnt it be terrible to have dreamed all those years and never at least tried to afford it - even if you fail......

Hey - sounds like you bought Rodrigo's car. That car was a smoking deal. I drove it and loved it, and almost bought it, and probably should have, but I didn't care for the Arena Red. Don't get me wrong, it's a great colour, but just not for me.

You got yourself a real little hot rod there. Believe me, they aren't all that well set up. Enjoy it...be careful.

Make sure you bring that thing to a PCA event soon. This Saturday in fact we're having a BBC tour to Squamish. We meet at 06:00 at Caulfield Starbucks. Last month there were more than 60 Porsches out for this tour. It's massive!
