Default Sequential Shifter System

I recently saw this product demonstrated at GMG and was looking for more info and found this forum . Has anyone any experience with such a system or some thoughts ? Seeing that GMG is involved it I feel there must be something good going on. I am going to post this in the 997 forum as well as perhaps someone over there has some input.

Looks like it's only for 996/997 GT2/3/TT

Also, seems to be about 7K plus shifter and install?

Sequential but retains clutch pedal right?

So to shift, clutch in, hit paddle / bump stick, clutch out?

If that's the case, how much faster is the gear change really? Still limited by how aggressively you want to shift I would think.

It looks like the M7 system uses the paddles or shifter stick to pre-select the gear you wanna be in and then press the clutch to initiate the shift. You really notice it near the end of the video, especially when he downshifts 3 gears at once.

That was the way it was explained to me . I think that pre selecting arrangment is called " stacking " .

What is really funny is when he compares the sequential to the manual and states that you don't have to worry about getting blisters on your hand. What kind of manual cars, or better yet, how do you get a blister on your hand from manually shifting gears?

I think he was referring to blisters that some drivers get after races but that is in a regular sequential shifter car where you have to use force to move the lever . I've driven those and it can be a chore . From what I see in the video the shifter in this case is merely a switch , not a mechanical lever .
