Did a little more leg work.
The company is called ufo motorsport and they have been rebuilding Porsche engines for 10-15 years. Recently got involved in 996 engines.
They're charging $7000 for rebuild plues $1250 is your cylinders are cracked.
Anybody familiar with their work?

It might be worth posting in the 964 or 993 forums. There are more likely to be folks there who have used them over there, as I suspect rebuilding 996 engines is something relatively new to their business. I'm eager to hear more about these guys.
